Dark brown colour with huge ligth brown head. Be careful with unbottening. It is almost explosive. Slighly sweet and fruity flavour with a distinct dry woody finish. Rich carbonation. End of bottle near-solid yeast. Very nice, fresh-smelling herbs/spices mix. I seem to get lavender, rosemary, cypresss and a touch of cinnamon - juniper too, maybe? Intriguing! Further gingerbread with a well-baked crust. Spicy taste, with light, but distinct sourish lining. Dark malts, and I can guess the wheat. Again rosemary, juniper - and laurel allez . Rosehips too - and sparadrap . Hmpff -- wanna know. Very slick, medium to well-bodied, quite spritzy. Nice one guys! Tell us more. Actually, IMHO this would do very well as a Christmas ale. harrisoni (6829), Ashford, Kent, England

Thanks to thewolf, Rene, as I wouldn’t have bought a bottle unless he’d asked for one in a trade. Black as far as I can work out or very dark brown, thin beige head. Mixed dried spices hit the aroma first off. Yes there are some smooth dark fruits in the body and some juiciness. The spice reappears on the finish. Bit of cinnamon and nutmeg. The spice isn’t too dominant and there is room for some good jammy blackcurrant and blackberry in there. Even cranberries. Only a touch of sourness, but it is there on the sides of the tongue and builds in the finish. I don’t normally like spiced beers, but this one has balance and the juicy fruits are really likeable. Yep, a good beer. The sour dryness on the finish stops it getting out of hand. Decent stuff. thebeertourist (2822), Oslo, Norway

Wonderful spicy and sweet aroma, maybe with rye bread. Sweet molasses flavours, good spiciness to offset the sweetness. Smooth, low carbonation. Very nice- a feast for both spring and winter.
