Bottle @ Alvinne. Pours a clear ruby red color wit a small pinkish white head. Has a light malty fruity cherry and red fruit aroma. Fruity light malty slightly tart cherry and red berry flavor. Has a fruity cherry finish with some tart hints.

Stone Sourfest. Ruby red in the glass, with a fruit and vanilla smooth nose. Taste is smooth fruity with a dry finish. Bitter on the end.

Draft @ redlight redlight. Pours clear ruby, no head, some champagne bubbles. Cherry nose, musty cherry pie spices, a little cardboard. In flavor, cherries, cherry pie spiciness, a little grain, cardboard, lightly tart. Slightly watery body, a bit drying. Overall rather thin and insubstantial. I was underwhelmed after having had so many other good to great beers from Alvinne.

Draft at Redlight Redlight. Pours a crystal clear, bright crimson red color strewn with fizzy carbonation bubbles. A minimal, quickly disappearing head leaves no lacing behind. There’s not much to the nose, really just a bit of cardboard, stale grain, and mildly tart red cherries. There’s no depth of aroma whatsoever. Likewise, the flavor fails to impress. Slightly medicinal, the sweet-tart cherry seems flat, and the grain bill just seems spent. Light and watery, the body is intensely fizzy and just far from appealing. This is one of the poorer attempts at sour ale in my recent memory.

My last rating to enter from the Stone Sourfest, a very good thing as my eyes are burning from looking at a computer screen. Pours with a read body and a small white head., Aroma of cherry and lightly sour, not much else. Taste is cherry watery, light vinegar and hay. Not much going on. Light bubbles.

Bright clear red pour, thin white head. Taste of cherries, red berries, light malt and sourness. Pretty simple beer. I thought it was a Kriek when I tasted it.

This red beer poured with almost no head and a vinous cherry aroma. It has a delicious kriek-like flavor, problably effected from the special Alvinne yeast working on the cherries. Subtly tart and very tasty.

draft @ redlight redlight. Cherry aromas, strawberry and cranberry, as well. Pours reddish purple with little to no head. Slightly tart cherry flavors, cherry skins, cranberries, cranberry juice. Finishes clean. Not bad! I could use a little more tartness though.
