Bottle @ BBF. Hazy golden color, medium creamy head. Aroma of caramel malt, slight sweet, bit soft sour mustard notes, bourbon. Nice creamy texture. Slight sweet and malty taste, with bourbon and oaky notes, bit fruity of orange and slight sour of mustard.

Small off-white head over dullish peach-coloured beer, full of little grey specks. Very alcoholic nose with an inviting jumble of yeast-induced fruity esters, further wood, smelling somehow vinous ànd Bretty. Again Brett streak, dough flavour, alcohol gradually building up in force, fusels, alcohol-drenched wood, white bread seeped in Bourbon, sherry and brandy. Thinned down by the alcohol, still a well-bodied, fiery alcoholic MF, with at the same time a velvety texture. IMO, one of the best Oak Collection Alvinnes. The nose is heavenly from the word go, but the taste had to grow on me.

A Mes rate. Bottle at 1st Borefts Beer Festival.
Excellent clean gold with a good white head and lace. Aroma is amazing. Fruit a plenty, really good sugary notes and some excellent barrelly notes. The flavour is equally brilliant. Soft and sweet, beautiful apples and tropical fruit. Unusual juicy yet dry feel. Excellent barrelly character and gorrrrrrgeous booze in the very lengthy finish. Not my best rate but this is one of Davey and Glenn’s best.

Bottle at 1st Borefts BF 09. Subtle vanilla bourbon aroma. That’s really good. Flavour of the beer still comes through with a lovely vanilla edge and touch of bourbon on finish. It’s one of the best bourbon barrel beers I’ve had. Davy and Glen said that they wanted something a bit more subtle than some barrel aged beers and they have got it just right for my taste at least. Lovely bit of candied/sour/tangerine/orange fruit comes through on the swallow. Beer of the day for me (apart from the Dirty Horse of course).

Bottle @ 1st BBF, De Molen.
Pours muddy yellow with a very nice, creamy, white head. Aroma is sweet malty, good vanilla notes, caramel, bourbon and a little "sweaty". Light carbonation, nice creamy and dry mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet, vinious, malty, apples, banana, mustard notes and light vanilla. Very fresh and drinkable.
