Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of ChristianScheffel. Hazy amber golden with tiny floating impurities and an off-white head. Sweet yet unclean fruity aroma. Full-bodied, a little low in carbonation, honey, fruit and flower notes. Distinct alcohol in the finish. Not sure that Melchior is all that suited for barrel aging. 220809

Bottled. Aroma has sugar, some red wine, mustard. Cloudy, yellow coloured beeer with a thin head. The taste is a bit sweet, slightly sour, has fruitiness, some hint of wood, wine, caramel and hops. Bit weird but quite tasty!

Bottle. Cloudy golden color, short head. Aroma is slight sour of mustard, candy sugar, red wine notes, malty. Slight sweet and sourish taste, very strange combination. But I must say the original Melchior was strange but nice, and for this one exactly the same. The barrel aged gives the beer that extra bite and body.
