Mar 31, 2009 Bottle from Joes. Orange color, hay. Malt oak and apple in the aroma. malty, alcoholic flavor with apple and calvados. Just hints of dried fruit and oak. Full bodied. Pleasant brew, has some complexity.

Mar 19, 2009 Bottle at the Alvinne pre Zythos event 09. Bit of apple on aroma, way too much apple in the mouth. Just a bit too muh stewed apple and green apple flavour for me. May settle down after a few months in bottle.

Mar 16, 2009 Updated: Mar 23, 2009Bottle, 11.5%. Quite citric and vinous aroma, a bit like white wine. Hazy yellow colour. Very small white head. The flavour is quite vinous and grapey. Some citrus. OK refreshing. Vanilla aftertaste.

Mar 10, 2009 Bottle at pre ZBF at Alvinne 06-03-09 Pours murky golden with a thin white head. Aroma is woody of that there is no doubt and the Calvados ageing is noticeable, as I can just pick an appleyness. Its got quite a tanginess and its really quite interesting but the actual beer seems a little lost. Despite its best efforts to draw me in I never really got on with this beer, but nonetheless am pleased to see beers like this and was glad to have tried it. A7 A3 F5 P3 OV12 3.0

Mar 10, 2009 Bottle @ Pre-ZBF, Alvinne. A hazy yellow/golden colored beer, with a little white head. The aroma is fresh, fruity, a little alcohol. Notes of wood. TRhe taste of wood with fruits like citrus and orange, some sweetness with notes of bitter. The aftertaste is a little sweet with bitter.

Mar 8, 2009 bottle at the Pre-ZBF pours amber with no head. Aroma is fruity and sweet smelling with faint wood notes. This one turned out more bitter than the Bourgogne, but it is a pleasant spice/earthy bitterness that shines in the finish. A very nice and enjoyable beer.
