Hazy orange-golden with a nice, dense head. The aroma has sweetness, notes of malt, caramel, candy sugar, citrus and raisin. The flavour has a rather strong sweetness, notes of candy sugar, caramel, malt, light raisin and other fruits, and it’s nicely balanced by a refreshing, citrussy bitterness and sourness. It’s a nice and charming beer, that hides the 11% dangerously well.

A Mes rate: Bottle at the Tom’s awesome Twickenham Brewery tasting.
Semi cloudy amber coloured with a decent beige head. A full on hit of caramel and spice with plenty of orange genever. Mad, bad and full of balls. Decent but not amazing.

Draft... Murky golden ale with a small, creamy, white head. The aroma is fruity, acidic and sweet. Full-bodied with a velvety mouthfeel and soft carbonation. Great balance... Sweet, tart and lightly bitter. A bit hot. Fruity, bitter finish.

Pours a dark gold, light amber, with a nice head. Clear until very last bit of the pour roused some yeast. Aroma honey and caramel sweet malts, with an apricot fruitiness and yeast note. Flavor matched, but also had an interesting "twang" to it that I took to be the spice note from the mustard. Beat the heck out of another Belgian mustard beer I tried once. This was enjoyable, but I still think I may have preferred the base beer over the mustard version.

From bottle shared by cdog69. Pours golden with a slight bit of haze. Thick white head. Some nice lace. Nose is sort of candy-ish. Very slight mustard spice nose. The flavor is rather sweet. More mustard flavor. Full body. Average carbonation. Sweet finish with a lingering spice. Not bad. Certainly odd.

Bottled at the Struise farm. Hazy pale golden, airy head. Almondy and caramelly. Surprisingly slim for a beer this size with notes of grass and pear. Fruity with notes of canteloupe. Late resiny bitterness. An extremely drinkable 11% beer!

Murky brown pour with lots of floaties and a very thick, rocky, offwhite head. Very good aroma of yeast, spices and hops. Very good flavor of spices, yeast and hops. The body is light with an oily texture and gentle carbonation. This beer is well balanced and quite pleasant to drink.
