330ml bottle. Huge chocolate fudge flavor, complete with creame and tangy, spicy yeast. Nose is more yeast-heavy, almost resembling a quad yeast, while the flavor is strictly focused on the rich chocolate fudge malt flavor. Good, but the light and fluffy palate doesn’t exactly fit.

Poured muddy brown with an off white head. A slightly sour aroma with hints of chocolate, mostly sour earth notes. Can smell some of the alcohol. Flavor is sweet with some earth notes. Can taste some of the alcohol. Has a medium dry finish.

11.2oz bottle, no date. Pours a moderately deep brown with a three finger beige head, excellent retention, but imperials shouldn’t necessarily have a giant head on them (yes I know this is Belgian). It looked so pretty, I couldn’t dock it any points. You can definitely tell in the aroma that this is Belgian, with the yeast, brown sugar, fig, and spices that are going on--it actually has some dubbel qualities to it. There is also some roast, ash, and a bit of chocolate. The flavor had some added wintergreen, strangely enough, and also some herbal notes and ash from a campfire showed up. Most definitely interesting, and I’m glad I picked up a couple bottles of this. Spicy alcohol is present in the moderately bitter (4 out of 10) dry finish. As this warms even further, I picked up on a bit of soy. Medium full body with moderate carbonation. Surprisingly good--for some reason I figured that this one would be a stinker, but was pleasantly surprised.

Black pour, huge, huge light tan head, good (annoying) lacing and retention. Not your typical IS aroma. Chocolate, caramel, only a hint of roast, but some fun yeast and spicing (anise) are in the aroma as well. Soft mouthfeel, somewhat sweet finish, medium body with some alcohol in the finish. A cool take on the style, but I definitely prefer some of the American examples.

Bottle. Blackish beer with a huge tan head. Roasty, caramel, sweet malt aroma with some nice yeastiness and dark fruit. Rich caramel/toffee flavor with a bit of darker malt, yeast, spice, and dark fruit all combining nicely in the flavor. Alcohol present and complementary with a nice warming affect. Medium body. LIngering yeasty, malty, and somewhat earthy tones turning to chocolate. Nice and complex.

Pours a very dark red to black color. A Nice dark head that lasts. Has a very typical dark Belgian smell to it of roasted malts, dried fruits, and spices. Has a nice roasted malty taste, with little to no hop present. There is a bit of alcohol bite, but for %10.5 percent, almost un noticeable. Very sweet. The very nice roasted flavors are almost lost to its sweetness. Let this beer warm to open up its flavors.

Thanks to abberverator for sharing. Massive black head. Roasted malt nose. Similar body with dark fruits and alcohol.
