pours dark brown, off white head. Aroma is yeasty with notes of chocolate bitterness and some dark fruits. Taste, roasted malts, light dark fruits with some faint tart notes. Some added candi sugar and bitter chocolate. Good stout, just a lot more yeasty than usual.

Dark brown with a reddish tinge and a small head. Aroma is quite roasty. Lots of roasted malts, chocolate, and a bit of dark fruit in there as well. Flavor is a bit winey. Flavors of grape, smoke, chocolate. Very smooth on the palate. For an imperial stout, this is very easy to drink. Very good overall.

bottle, pours dark mahogany, with a thin to medium off white head. Wonderful aroma of red wine, carmel, candy sugar, plum and raisin. Flavors are burnt sugar, sweet raisin, yeast, and a light bready malt note. Very nice, has similar characteristics to other Belgian stouts I’ve had, more of a dark brown ale. Easy to drink at 10.5. Nice!

Bottle. Cellar temperature. Pours dark maroon brown. Dark red fruit nose. Very vinous aroma’s at first, then lactic acid and finishes with smoked caskwood. Sweet nose, sour finish. Not really an imperial stout but rather interesting nonetheless.

Pours a dark black with a small tan head. Aroma of roasted malts and liquorice. Initially sweet with a moderately bitter finish. Medium to full body. Dry texture. Great blend of flavors. Sweet malt, chocolate and liquorice. I really enjoyed this one.

330 ml bottle from Liquid Solutions. Nose of toffee and prunes. Clear brown with a small beige head. Flavor of toffee, licorice, and light sweetness. Is this a barleywine with a squirt of porter added?
