Midly burned, lemony aroma with herbal liquorice, some metal and even barnyard. Not too stouty. Citric acidy flavor, little burned malts, sourness, hint of liquorice. Not too pleasant, with very mild flavors outside that lemony bite. Medium to full bodied, slick palate. Reminds me of a bad bottle of Ultrabrune, I kinda hope this one is bad too. Couldn’t finish the glass. LordCorkscrew (982), Ronco Scrivia (GE), Italy

Very dark mahogany brown. Flavor of dark fruits, raisins, prunes along with caramelized malts and sugar, touch of woodiness, and a touch of sourness. Medium body and mouthfeel. Finish is somewhat dry and not bitter with woodiness coming through. tripelthreat (83), Soquel, California, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 24, 2009 33cl bottle. Dark brown with large tan head that sticks around for a while then fades into a thin layer. Some floaties in the pour as well. Light coffee, roast, sweet but tangy, and alcohol in the aroma. Flavor overall is sour and vinous, with raisins, prunes, and coffee notes in the background. Full and creamy mouthfeel. A little eager to get out of the bottle when opened, but it wasn’t a gusher. Possibly infected. As is, a coffee infused strong Belgian sour, while kind of interesting, really doesn’t do it for me. Boutip (2390), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Feb 22, 2009 Bottle: Poured a deep cloudy brown color ale with a super large foamy head with perfect retention and lacing. Aroma of spicy yeast and sweet malt with some alcohol ester easily detectable. Taste is also dominated by some spicy yeast with notes of sugar and loads of alcohol ester. Body is full with perfect carbonation but alcohol is way too detectable and ruin this one for me.
