A black beer with a disappearing brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with primary notes of caramel, but also fruits and alcohol are present. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel and fruit. The mouthfeel is quite carbonated. I better get back to this one, since my notes are very limited for such a complex beer.

(Bottle 33 cl) Very dark brown, but not completely opaque. Small, light brown head. Nose of roasted malts. Extremely full-bodied with notes of bitter, dark chocolate and roasted malt. Marked alcohol and sweetness. Light ashy notes and only a short, dry bitterness which never really balances the sweetness. But this doesn’t appear unbalanced, but very lovely. 120805

33 cL bottle, trade with ygtbsm94 and bottle from Papsoe. First bottle was infected so this rating is from the bottle from Papsoe. Pours black with a dense tan head - diminishes to a nice lacing head in 2 minutes. Aroma is malty, slight sweet and with a mild coffee note. Flavour starts quite sweet, mild yeasty fruity note - quite classic yeast note for Alvinne. Light coffee and liqourice flavour. Goes into a decent bitterness and light roasted acidic finish. Sweet finish.

Bottled at RBESG. Near black. Rose aroma. Sweet and roasty, salty and intense with notes of milk chocolate. Very soft mouthfeel. Like a flower garden a summer morning.... Complea and unusual, incredibly refined compared to most other Belgian stouts.

Bottle @ Københavnske Øldage 2007 in Copenhagen. Dark brown / black color with a small fizzy fair lacing mostly diminishing light brown head. Aroma is moderate berry / fruity sweet, malty. Initial flavor is moderate to heavy sweet, middel flavor is moderate to heavy sweet, finish flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, syrupy, carbonation is soft. ;o))

Bottle, 10.5% at KØ07. Rough, sour aroma. Muddy black colour, small light brown head. The flavour is nicely sweet and sour with some pepper. Very flavourful. 8 4 8 4 17

Bottled. Quite much black colour, mediumsized brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, some fruits, licorice and also some yeastyness. Flavour is yeast, fruits, roasted malts and some licorice. Also alcohol shows and some quite wooden notes. A lot sweeter than I expected, yet quite wellbalanced and drinkable.
