On tap at redlight. Very fruity and tangy smell. Very dark fruits. alcohol. Incredibly smooth beer. Really like it, It is a little weird though.

Sour and light. Not a stout in my mind, nice sour flavor with dry bittering. Dark brown with tight hazed head. Much lighter body than I expected. Interesting, not great.

For second time @ home from 75 cl. bottle. Deep dark brown with great beige head. Aroma some bourgogne, roasted malts, caramel. Full body. Taste bit sweet, bitter, bit vinous, woods, roasted malts. Good version.

Pour many thanks to Dr. Bill at the SD strong ale fest. Pours a brown with off-white head. Roasted malt, chocolate, fruit, hay, tart, and a touch of oak. Interesting beer, which I did enjoy. Medium body.

On tap at Brouwer’s Big Wood 09. Pours a dark, dark brown with a tiny head. Does not (at all) smell or taste like an imperial stout. Slightly tinny, a bit tart, and a bit dilute. Not up my alley at all.

Sampled on 12/4/009. Sampled via Dr Bill. This Imperial Stout pours a med dark brown color from a 750ml bottle. Large sized white foamy head. The aroma is chocolate, tart and fruity. A medium bodied Imperial Stout. The malts are chocolate, fruity and tart. The hops are floral. A tart, Belgian Stout. The estery fruitiness are balanced by some big roasty malts and both are whacked by the tartness. There is a touch of wood here, I guess. It’s a weird combination of flavors, but it seems to work somehow. Mouthfeeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly tart.

Bottle shared by argo0: Pours a hazy dark copper amber with a frothy beige head. Aroma of fresh oaky dark caramel malt with a touch of light fruity esters. Starts with pretty good fullness with some tart oaky complexity and sweet dark caramel maltiness before a toasty drier bittersweet tannic finish. Pretty unique oaky dark brew.
