Bottled 33cl. ABV 7.8. Courtesy of derDoppelbock and Bov. Appearance: It pours a hazy amber beer with a creamy, nicely remaining average sized light beige head. Good lacework. Aroma: Very pronounced hop resin, quinces, apricot, peach, grapefruit, pine needles and red berries showing up. Faintly yeasty. There are some lactic components aswell which are accompanied a whiff of caramel, pineapple, licorice root, clotted cream and pine needles. Extremely fresh and inviting. Flavor and palate: Medium bodied. Wonderful hop profile balanced by a flawless malty background. More sweetness than expected whilst nosing. Perfectly balanced. Good but not overwhelming bitterness- very pleasant and really smooth. Some licorice apparent on the swallow. Peppery. Reminiscence of nutmeg and blackberry. The finish is dry and offers a lingering and slightly numbing sensation of sage, tobacco, licorice and hop resin. Overall impression: Sublime! Perfect balance. Deeply pleasant. Bottle thanks to Fin that cgarvieuk hauled over from Scotland. Thanks! Pours copper with a big off white head. Aroma of hops, spice and citrus. Quite bitter with fruity undertone. Bitter finish and a little metallic. Medium bodied. I think the over carbonation got in the way a little and made the beer a little harsh.

Bottle at home ... Which im opening on the Advice of the brewer to open sooner rather than later :-) ... cheers man thanks for athe advice and good to meet you at DLD 09 ... Copper with rising bubbles and light bubbly head ... lovely bright lively citrsu fruity hop aroma ... light bitter fruity front ... with quite powerfuly pine hop in backbone ... little sweetness ... some citrus peel lemon and lime ... quite a dry finnish

Bottle from Cracked Kettle. Dark orange body with thinnish, poppy head. Hoppy nose with grapefruit and orange notes. Taste of malts and lots of fruits--grapefruit in evidence. Nice warming, dry and hoppy finish. Piney too. A delight. And another joint venture well done. Only criticism is the texture is a bit rough.

Medium body, roasted malt and fruit but again dominated by marvellous peachy hops that leave the finish to be dry and bitter. Delicious. One of very few successful Belgian/US hybrids. 200309

Bottle thanks to the pipe workers. Pours a brown orange with an off white head. Toasted malts and a touch of bitter citrus pine aromas. Lightly fruity, citrus, grass and bitter flavors that are fresh with toasted and caramel malts. Slightly watery thin body that’s somewhat astringent. Still a decent beer, good work!

Bottle@Home. Lots of grapefruit in the aroma. Amber colour, beige head, very nice lace. Light sweet, very bitter to almost nasty bitter finish, lots of grapefruit, hint of grass and pine. Nasty hop dry bitter finish. Bit too harsh for me.

330 cl bottle. thanks to the pipework guys for sharing these brews!... pours an apricot brown with a white soapy head.... aroma of floral and piney hops with an equal aspect of fruitiness to go along with it....flavors of semi-sweet fruitness and floral hop flavor. nice creamy mouthfeel. congrats guys!
