Amber coloured beer with lots of carbonation and a large white head. Special fruity hoppy aroma with a full sprankling bitter palate. Finish is extreme bitter, with a more pleasant hoppy and light fruity (some citrus?). Dry bitter ending. Very good.

Bottle poured by Urbain at Struise. Batch number 5. Collaboration of Alvinne & Struise, but with a Chicago-tweaking of the hops marathon. Bright orange with a thick white head and delicate lacing. Floral hops aroma. Flavor starts with malt and progresses to a light bitterness. Light body for the style. Decent early evening brew.

Bottle from De Bierkoning. Pours a dark, hazy, burnt orange amber hue with a massive, khaki colored, hard shell of a head. Thick clumps of lacing cling hard to the glass, hovering like clouds above the pool below. The aroma is overridden with yeast, indicating likely infection, with a background of fermented fruits and massively bitter citrus hop notes. Flavors show peppery, bitter citrus and overly active, bready yeast atop a caramel and medium-dark fruit base. Fizzy to the point of being obnoxious, the palate perpetuates the disappointment. Poor quality control = poor beer.

The bottle is gushing; it pours a drop of beer with a glassful of foam; left in the glass, a cloudy orange-amber colored liquid appears, and the head reduces to a thin layer, supported by the perlage. The aroma is delicate, it shows first the noble Belgian yeast, with its sicy side, then some hop fruitness. The mouthfeel is dry, the body strength medium; dry caramel flavor, with a sharp spicy character; bold bitterness, but that combines well with the spices. The final is too dry in the beginning, then smoother. A good spicy Belgian Ale, with just a light additional fruity touch.

From Koelschtrinker via trade. Poured a slightly hazy coppy color with a robust white head that was basically out of control. The aroma was sour, almost infected smelling at first but as it opened up more of the beers originally intended aromas came out to combat the sourness. Bready sweetness and light peach and mango. The flavor was also defined by sourness at first but malts and fruity flavors came into balance later on. The mouthfeel was thin and it was a bit of chore looking past the funky sourness.

(bottle) pours a lightly hazy dark orange colour with a billowing off-white head. aroma of tropical fruits, most noticeably pineapples and oranges, pale malts and bread, with a hint of alcohol and spices, nicely balanced. flavour is mostly grainy malts and bread, with some unobtrusive notes of alcohol and a bitter orange finish. medium body and carbonation.
