Commercial Description:
Unfiltered beer containing aromatic wheat which confers its fruity and acidulous taste. It is a beer which undergoes two successive high fermentations. The use of wheat gives to the product an excellent foam behaviour as well as a pale and opalescent color.

Great looking beer with lots going on in the glass: very easy to tell this is unfiltered, with little floaties sitting on the bottem on the glass. The flavor is thin, but refreshing with hints of lemon and fruit. The finish however is very weak and hollow. I just had the sense that something was missing. Not a bad beer that is certainly easy to suck back on a hot day, but not a good beer either. But it is French however, so a review like this is pretty darn good. Cheers.

Bottle, 75cl. Hazy pale yellow colour with a soapy head. Light spicy dishwater aroma. Bland flavour, light citric. Surprisingly thin.

Re-rate. My first sample wasn’t even cloudy, which indicates an old bottle. I found a fresh one and here we go.

Opaque and whitish-yellow. No head. Soda-like aroma has lime, soap, and a touch of yeastiness. The taste is very lemon-lime, not like Sprite but I could see a less sugary lemon-lime soda. Very spritzy, which only serves to enhance the soda impression. Malts are subdued, but come in with a little sweetness towards the finish. Vague hop and spice dance around in there somewhere.

Bottled: Aroma with artificial notes of citrus, ascorbin acid, radler. Very light color. Flavor with artificial citrus notes, candied lemon peel and ascorbin acid. Light astringent finish. Too artificial.

Probably one of the best french beers i have ever had. Which is not saying much. Still, havea nice mouthfeel and flavor and pours smooth. Worth a try.

750 cl bottle. Cloudy pale golden, with a medium white head. Spicy and fresh aroma with clove and coriander, but the flavour has an annoying sweetness.

750 ml bottle from City Market in Burlington VT (October 2006) sampled from a Duvel glass at cellar temperature. Soft swish of air as the cork is popped....smallish but lasting head atop a hazy light gold body....faint lemon-ginger nose, soft and unfocused....decent mouthfeel, lightly gritty and yeasty, soft and caressing, with a lemony character permeating the experience, bit of orange peel and coriander, solid carbonation level....but nothing stands out, it’s a very average example of a very average style, on the whole. Dullsville.
