Mouldy earthen moss aroma with a hint of weird lemon. Cloudy, white yellow body with a quick foamy white head and some floaties. Cardboard wheatie flavour generic tart fruit finish. Light body is watery. Unique in an unpleasant way. HogTownHarry (4025), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jan 18, 2008 Can (500ml). Shared with garthicus, jerc, mabel, Radek Kliber and mds - courtesy of mds. Pours very pale cloudy lemon-yellow with a small fizzy white head - props for the cloudiness, big marks off for that weak colour. Aroma reminded me strongly of lemon furniture polish, only sweet. The taste seemed a little more on the mark - acidic, lightly sour, but weak and papery, with a thin sweet lemon finish. Watery and mildly sugary mouthfeel, very lightly carbonated, with just a whisper of acidity in the quick finish/aftertaste. Not very good. Citrussy nose with lemon and orange and a touch of sherbert. Light watery taste like lemonade with a little bit of non-descript beer added. | 1.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 4/20 | Jan 6, 2008 750ml corked bottle. Sickbowl nose, with regurgitated buck’s fizz and pineapple juice diluted with low cal lemonade. This really is an appalling attempt at a witbier. A headless, watery- thin dribble of chemical fruit and cash-in flat lemonade. I couldn’t drink it, and neither could Octo, who usually guzzles down this kind of bilge. My god, it’s even worse than Kronenbourg Blanc. Flat, synthetic and disgraceful.
