Commercial Description:

Poors very dark brown with a nice bubbling brown head. Aroma is very hoppy, pine and citrus with some notes of roasted malts in the background. Flavor is nice bitter, both hop and roasted, with a refreshing feeling to it and only a little sweetness. Great!

A Mes rate. Bottle at 1st Borefts Beer Festival BIG thanks to the bloke who loves phones..
Mahogany black with an excellent off white head and lace. Amazing bright floral hoppage and petrol (in a good way, honestly) on top of some truly stunning black malt. The dark coffee character blends seamlessly with the fresh grassy hops. It’s probably the best integration between dark and golden I have experienced so far. Beautiful earthy finish with great length and a developing bitterness. Fantastic.

Black with a big tan head. Strong American pine and grapefruit hop aroma, with some chocolate and malt in the background. Grapefruit hops dominate a very bitter flavour with some chocolate and a slightly ashy roasted finish

50cl Bottle @ VinensVerden, Odense. Pours nearly black with a stable creamy head and lacings. Nose is very hoppy. Pine, citrus and grapefruit. Soo inviting makes me wanna chew on the glass. A bit of roast and caramel but again lots of fresh hops dominates. Grape and pine. Smooth and full bodied. Dry and lasting bitter hoppy and vaguely roasted end. Very nice.

Bottle at home. Pours a clearish brown with a beige head. Smells hoppy. Bitter with strong hoppy aromas. Hints of Belgian yeast fruit esters... this (unfortunately) disappears as the beer ages in the glass. Mellow aromas of roasted malts. Tiny hints of plant sap. Medium to full bodied. Medium carbonation. Long bitter finish with more hops aromas and a tiny hint of residual sugars.

Bottle. Dark brown almost black with a dense tan head. The aroma is liqourice, lots of hops, citrus and roasted malt. Flavour is very bitter from the hops and the roasted malt. Lots of liqourice in the finish which ends up very hoppy bitter.

Bottle courtesy of Jan and Charlotte, cheers you two. Had this at the Borefts Beer Festival, De Molen Brewery, Bodegraven, Netherlands 30-10-09 Pours almost black with a very slim off-white head. Very hoppy nose, touch of resin, are the hops chinook? Really streaky, there is a pleasant citrusness. Most enjoyable. A7 A4 F8 P4 Ov16 3.9
