Commercial Description:

English: It is said that behind every tough, blunt, and brutal man stands a chaste, loving, and not least wise woman, which naturally applies in the beer world as well. As our most famous beer; Hr. Frederiksen, is a strapping fellow who enjoys admiring his own muscles, Mrs. Frederiksen is a clever woman who very well knows that you can walk almost just as far by saving some of your energy even though you are not as strong. The lady, however, is not exactly a light beer, but is toned down a notch compared to the gentleman. Being a little sweeter and not so roasted although having plenty of black malt, chocolate malt, and roasted barley, she is actually not a petite girl. And note that the Centennial hops lash out at you with their 75 IBU.
Welcome the lady – she is here to stay.

Hopscotch you are the fucking man. Black pour. Aroma is full of roasted malt, chocolate and some hops. Flavor is rich and full with a great balance between the chocolate malts and some great hops. This is an amazing beer and I am honored to be entering the first rating in the USA. Cheers and thanks again Eric. You really shared a gem this time!

50cl Bottle from De Molen. Pitch black, small beige brown head. Aroma of lovely hard roasted malts, lots of chocolate, light smoke/tar, a hint of liquorice. Flavour is sweet and bitter, hard roasted malts, chocolate, lots of hops, earthy liquorice in the bitter finish. Medium to fullbodied, soft and creamy mouthfeel. Fantastic stout, exactly how I like them.

Bottle@Home. Very strong, even intense aroma. What a looker! Black coloured, brown head, great lace. On the sweet side, very malty, great balance, so flavourful. Soft and full. Maybe a bit too sweet but has all I like in a Stout.

EBF2008. Fru Frederiksen is a pitch black lady with a creamy head. The aroma has notes of coffee, roasted malt and a little chocolate. The flavour has a light, smooth and mellow malty sweetness and a light roasted bitterness and notes of coffee, light caramel, licorice and a little chocolate. The balance is very nice indeed, and it’s a beer you feel at home in, so to speak, and I would love to have boxes and boxes of this in my cellar.

Bottle… This beer rocks!… Pitch black ale with a small, creamy, light brown head. Good retention. The nose imparts rich, dark, earthy notes of cocoa nibs, ground espresso and pine. Full-bodied and creamy with tickling carbonation. Sweet, chocolaty flavor. A touch vinous and nutty. Chocolaty finish. Many thanks to Grovlam for providing this world class stout!

Black with a lasting light brown head. Licorice aroma with some burned wood, and some citrus hops. Rich roasted flavour, sweet but quite hoppy. Smooth and fullbodied.
