Commercial Description:
Bitterhed: 81 IBU

English: When poured into the glass you will instantly sense that Hr. Frederiksen is a gentleman with both potency and a huge personality. Dark as Hr. Frederiksen’s humour, this imperial stout is inspired by the American imperial stouts with its dense and creamy light brown head that leaves nice lacings in the glass while the head reluctantly dissipates. We are willing to admit that we went crazy with the malts in this beer. A massive 8 different types of malts were used, and it is the dark and heavily roasted ones that give the beer its colour and almost extreme full body - this is almost a meal in a bottle. The bitterness is also delivered by the heavily roasted malts backed up by the American Centennial hops. Oh yes, Hr. Frederiksen is an experience which should be enjoyed slowly, but in return he will last all night warming you with his alcohol and challenging charm.
We have named this beer after a good friend, without whom, Amager Bryghus would not be what it is today.
Bitterness: 81 IBU

Pours black, with a rather large, brown head. Aroma is chocolate, roasted malt, and dark fruit. Flavor is roasted malt, dark fruit, chocolate, coffee, and some hops. Nice, but not quite in the upper tier of impy stouts.

50cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Black colour, creamy light beige head. Aroma of bitter chocolate, cream, coffee and milk, hops, roasted malts, a bit of peat, some alcohol. Flavour is soft, milk chocolate at first, roasted malts, coffee, earthy hoppy bitter finish. Full of flavour, medium to fullbodied, creamy mouthfeel. Very good stuff.

It poors black like motoroil with a huge brown head. Smells like a perfect stout with lots of coffee and chocolate. Very creamy, and quite strong from the alcohol and very bitter but heavenly hops. This is how stout should be.

Bit of tartness in the aroma. Fruit and chocolate in the taste. Maybe some raspberry. Not particularly heavy or thick. But also not a light stout. Quite nice.

Black pour with a dark brown head. Molasses and dark chocolate liqueur aroma. Dry chocolate, black coffee, light tar and leather flavor. Very complex yet subtle. Superb.

500 ml bottle poured a translucent deep dark brown nearly black with a lasting brown head. Aromasof roasted malt, bitter chocolate, coffee and licorice. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of roasted malt, bitter chocolate, licorice and light coffee with a smooth lingering roasty bitter finish. Alcohol is not noticable at all, amazing for the ABV.

Bottle (500ml) shared with HogTownHarry & garthicus -- c/o HogTownHarry. Batch No 115, best before 07/2013. Pours black with a large lasting fluffy light-brown head. Lovely dry roasty aroma with lots of hops, coffee and chocolate. Flavour’s delicious! Roasted malt, green hops, dark chocolate, coffee and a huge dry bitter finish. Alcohol’s fairly well hidden. Full bodied. Simply put: Fantastic!
