Commercial Description:
Bitterhed: 81 IBU

English: When poured into the glass you will instantly sense that Hr. Frederiksen is a gentleman with both potency and a huge personality. Dark as Hr. Frederiksen’s humour, this imperial stout is inspired by the American imperial stouts with its dense and creamy light brown head that leaves nice lacings in the glass while the head reluctantly dissipates. We are willing to admit that we went crazy with the malts in this beer. A massive 8 different types of malts were used, and it is the dark and heavily roasted ones that give the beer its colour and almost extreme full body - this is almost a meal in a bottle. The bitterness is also delivered by the heavily roasted malts backed up by the American Centennial hops. Oh yes, Hr. Frederiksen is an experience which should be enjoyed slowly, but in return he will last all night warming you with his alcohol and challenging charm.
We have named this beer after a good friend, without whom, Amager Bryghus would not be what it is today.
Bitterness: 81 IBU

Draught Good, but short-lived greige head over jet-black beer. Cold coffee, stale one, even. Some fusel alcohols traceable. Sharpish coffeetaste, with some stout acidity, (quite) some alcohol, and some faraway yeasty esters. Soya sauce? Very well-bodied, smooth to velvety, long aftertaste. Good, if unrevolutionary Imperial Stout.

Huge creamy head and black beer. The aroma has notes of coffee, chocolate and a bit of hops. Flavor of coffee, chocolate balanced. Bitter finish.

Cask @ EBF 2008. Almost opague. Creamy head. Creamy aroma with a hint of licorice. Way more licorice in the flavor. Salty and malty, but well matured. No sharp edges whatsoever.

500ml bottle. i think this is batch 2. big thanks to kan for sharing this long waited beer. pours black with milky tan head. looks great! nose is strong of chocolate and soy, some roast. flavor of soy, syupy, chocolate, astringent malt, booze, huge piney off putting hop bitterness finishes it out. dag this is difficult to swallow, a big soy and hop bomb that doesn’t work at all.

Fad. EBF 2008.

500ml bottle thanks to miketd....pours deep black with a mesmirizing tan head. looks really nice.... aroma of roast up front with equalizing chocolate notes, then some soy, not just some..... flavors start off roasty and chocolately and then finishes way too bitter, hoppy with even and odd sourness to it. a bit of ash lingers as well.

Draught at the brewery. Pours with a black body with a frothy, dark tan head, medium last, that sticks to the sides of the glass. Aroma is not that strong/powerfull, but what is there is gooood. :-) inviting aroma of sweetish dark malts, licorice, and dark chocolate with hints of roast, smoke and alchol.Taste of dark maltiness, fulled roasted, coffee and dark chocolate. Medium sweetness, bitterness from the hops, and ends with an nice taste of licorice that lasts forever. Palate is really nice and creamywith good carbonation. This is a damm good cup of beer. Good it is back.
