Commercial Description:
Bitterhed: 81 IBU

English: When poured into the glass you will instantly sense that Hr. Frederiksen is a gentleman with both potency and a huge personality. Dark as Hr. Frederiksen’s humour, this imperial stout is inspired by the American imperial stouts with its dense and creamy light brown head that leaves nice lacings in the glass while the head reluctantly dissipates. We are willing to admit that we went crazy with the malts in this beer. A massive 8 different types of malts were used, and it is the dark and heavily roasted ones that give the beer its colour and almost extreme full body - this is almost a meal in a bottle. The bitterness is also delivered by the heavily roasted malts backed up by the American Centennial hops. Oh yes, Hr. Frederiksen is an experience which should be enjoyed slowly, but in return he will last all night warming you with his alcohol and challenging charm.
We have named this beer after a good friend, without whom, Amager Bryghus would not be what it is today.
Bitterness: 81 IBU

Bottle. The colour is black and maybe darker with a fomy cappucino head. Aroma is heavy roasted with notes of coffee, chocolate, hops and spices. Flavours of coffe, roasted malt - almost burned, licorice and dark chocolate. Very dry and very well made.

A very choco aroma and hints of abv. A dark brown almost black pour with a large brown head and lace. Thick choco flavor with a good hard bitter finish. soldi palate and carbonation. Very nice just a tad to hot for its own good.

Totally black with dark beige firm head. Leafy aroma with notes of coffee, oil, spices and chocolate. Really bitter flavour with notes of cream, cofee, milkchocolate, hops and coconut. Fruity with alcoholic notes. Medicinal bitter ending. A truly magnificent imp.stout.

Appearance: Pours an onyx black body with a frothy, dark tan head. Smell: Rich, inviting aroma of sweetish dark malts, licorice, and unsweetened chocolate with hints of roast and smoke. Taste: Dark maltiness fulled by a knee-buckling punch of roasted, freshly ground coffee and dark chocolate. Medium sweetness. Faint dark fruitiness. Earthy, roasty bitterness. Hint of smoke and licorice candy. Some squares of caramel floating in there, too. Roasty, sweet, warming finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-full body. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: It’s fabulous in oh-so many ways.

Bottle. Thanks to BrianK for sharing this roasty treat. Pours a black body with a mild tan head. Aroma is sweet chocolate malt coffee and bozzy. Flavor is a dry roasty chocolate with a moderate etoh warming in the finish. Probably the best stout i’ve had to date from denmark and subsequentally im probably overrating this.

Opened for my 25th birthday. Huge roasty character which absolutely predominates. Pretty intense if you ask me. This beer really wasn’t for me but was not a bad beer by any means.

Thick black pour with a creamy light tan head. Smell is some grain alcohol and malt but almost a tart malt (not a chocolatey malt). Flavor is ashy and a hint of chocolate. Mouthfeel is interesting. Medium body. Drinkable, glad I got to try this. Thanks Mike!
