Commercial Description:
Bitterhed: 81 IBU

English: When poured into the glass you will instantly sense that Hr. Frederiksen is a gentleman with both potency and a huge personality. Dark as Hr. Frederiksen’s humour, this imperial stout is inspired by the American imperial stouts with its dense and creamy light brown head that leaves nice lacings in the glass while the head reluctantly dissipates. We are willing to admit that we went crazy with the malts in this beer. A massive 8 different types of malts were used, and it is the dark and heavily roasted ones that give the beer its colour and almost extreme full body - this is almost a meal in a bottle. The bitterness is also delivered by the heavily roasted malts backed up by the American Centennial hops. Oh yes, Hr. Frederiksen is an experience which should be enjoyed slowly, but in return he will last all night warming you with his alcohol and challenging charm.
We have named this beer after a good friend, without whom, Amager Bryghus would not be what it is today.
Bitterness: 81 IBU

Bottle via stfun. The Danes really know how to make an imp stout. This one pours with great lacing. Hoppy, bittersweet chocolate, roasted dark coffee, and burnt toast.

Well-balanced, hefty stout! Pure black syrupy liquid with a wild biege head. Foamy, pillowy head hangs on for dear life for quite a while, and leaves a clingy lace as it disappears. Smooth aromas of multiple different toasty malts, a bit of smoke, black cherries, and chocolate. Flavors match, with some extra chocolate and coffee notes along with some tangy hops. Medium-heavy body with some sharp flavors, and a bit of alcohol in the finish (it does well to hide 10.5% until the finish).

Pours an almost completely opaque black color topped by a foamy, khaki colored head that shows good retention. Thing rings of lacing cling to the glass. The aroma is really nice and full of dark chocolate, bitter cocoa, fresh roasted coffee, and roasted grains. Toasted caramel and vanilla beans add to the depth of this brew, but also smooth out all the roasty elements in this one. The taste is equally balanced between the roasty flavors of dark chocolate and roasted coffee to the sweetness of the caramel, vanilla, and cream. Medium bodied, but maybe a touch thin for the style with balanced carbonation and the hides the alcohol very well. The finish is lengthy of dark chocolate and earthy hop bitterness. This is one of the better imperial stouts I have had lately. Really well done.

Bottle courtesy Juiceisloose. Big black pour with a thin tan head. Roasted grain, chocolate malt aroma. Nice smooth body, not thick and cloying with lots of roasted grain and chocolate malt balanced with a nice hop bitterness. Very warming and easy to drink.

Pretty sexy impy. Great pour with a tan head. Lots of coffee, roasted malts, some bitter chocolate in the flavor and the aroma. Thick and full-bodied. A roast bomb, and is also a relief after drinking that Warlock brew.
