The beer is dark red. The aroma is of bourbon, but also notes of prunes. Flavor is also of bourbon and prunes very complex.

Dec 5, 2008 Bottle 33cl. Unclear medium amber brown color with a average, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, roasted, caramel, moderate hoppy, perfume, bourbon whisky, wood - coconuts, vanilla notes, and then alcohol. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. 120908. Mr.Papsoe is a really good both in person and also in a bottle

Nov 29, 2008 Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is ruby amber. Aroma and taste are bourbon, caramel, oak, raisins and other dark fruits. Can taste the alcohol as well. Bourbon is a little too overdone

Brown with white head. Aroma of dried fruit and toffee. Flavor is alcohol and some raisins and spices.

Nov 16, 2008 Bottle courtesy of papsoe. Pours brown with a stubborn white head. Smells of caramel, dark fruit, light spice, earthy. Tastes of rich caramel, tarte fruit, spice, pepper, light booziness, some dryness on the finish. Full bodied, velvety mouthfeel.
