Commercial Description:
Bitterhed: 140+ IBU

English: It is hardly a secret that we at Amager Bryghus have a special love towards Imperial Stouts - the finest and most noble of all beer types. Actually, at the brewery we are at all times developing new variants of this noble drink. As always, we tend to add more of everything, which is also the case with this beer: it took no less than eight different malts to three types of hops, and we are especially proud to present the king of them all; Zeus. Amager Imperial Stout is a beer as black as the original sin itself, topped by the most dense and creamy light brown head. Clear notes of coffee and chocolate, but they appear from the malt exclusively, whereas the scent is rich of vanilla. In all regards Amager Imperial Stout is an extreme beer for the demanding and experienced beer lover, who is not afraid of challenging his senses.
Bitterness: 140+ IBU

Bottle (RBESG 08): Literally black, bigger, persistent brownish creamy head; dried fruits, tobacco and roasted malt in the nose; full bitter-sweet flavour, not too full bodied; solid lingering bitter and roastmalty finish, traces of cacao detectable in the aftertaste. Great stuff........

Bottled at RBESG. Very black with rich beige head. Aroma of grapefruit and licorice. Full bodied, yet not too overpowering. Drysih with lots of licorice. With it’s rich body and relative softness the masiev bitterness seem quite in place. A light touch of ink may be there, but it’s still drinkable and enjoyable all the way.

Bottle at Chris_o birthday bash 08. Lots of PNW hops on aroma. Plus some roasted bitterness and coffee. Lacks depth in mouthfeel. Bit powdery. Alcohol heat. PNW hops are good, but just a little thin in mouth.
