Courtesy TheCheeseMan. Pours a deep amber with a moderate off-white head. Nice strong aroma with floral and tannic notes under the heavy malt. Alcohol seems to be more apparent in this one also. Taste follows suit, with a nice tannic finish and a lingering spiciness.

Pours opaque, burnt caramel brown with a two finger thick, tight bubbled head that lingers. Full nose of toffee, dried fruits, some wood and bourbon and caramel. Same in the flavor with a bit of earth and grittiness. Slight bitter finish.

(Bottle, purchased at Ölbutikken, Copenhagen) Deep amber colour with lasting, frothy, beige head. Malty, fruity, slightly perfumy nose with notes of dried fruit, caramel, orange peel, roses and a touch of wood. Malty, fruity taste with dried fruit, caramel, raisins, citrussy hops, bourbon and lots of warming alcohol in a long, vinous finish. Full body, fairly sweet. Generous citrussy bitterness, after a while overshadowed by warming alcohol. Complex and nice beer.

Courtesy ChzMan. Take the regular and add tannic oak, oak spice, subtle biscuity vanilla. Same body. Very nice barleywine.

Bottled. Aroma has bourbon wood, fruits, caramel. Bit hazy, brown coloured beer with a beige head. The taste is sweet, with some hopbitterness. It has bourbon, fruits like berries and caramel maltiness. Well bodied. Decent beer.

A dark brown colored beer, with a big beige head. The aroma of hops with caramel, a little wood and fruits. Hints of vanilla. The taste of hopbitters with chocolate and dark fruits with caramel. There are notes of whisky. The aftertaste of bitter chocolate with a little sweet.

Bottle sent by Danish shop owner Nymen Syvend. This is their kolle collaboration bourbon casked for 5 months. It is darker with little head compared to the regular kolle. A deeper richer smell and taste than the regular kolle. Smooth even though exactly the same vintage and expirey date. Masterful and lovely.
