Bottle sampled in Nov 2008: Pours a transparent dark copper amber with a spotty lacing light tan head. Has a lightly sweet caramel toffee nose with a hint of noble hops. Starts semi-sweet and doughy with a touch of light fruits before a thinner, toasty bready finish. Could use a little more body, but still fairly authentic.

Nov 14, 2009 Eh. Nothing to special about his except for the bottle and label. Poured with a small light colored head that mostly faded fast and no lace. Color is a kind of strange hazy brown. Aroma is malty, fruity, a little caramel, and a little mustiness. Flavor’s about the same. Body is ok and so is carbonation. Short finish. Unremarkable.

Oct 31, 2009 Bottle from Wine and Cheese. Pours dark amber with an off-white head. Very heavy, fruity aroma. Over caramel or toffee. Medium body with sharpish carbonation. Flavor is almost woody, with fruit and caramel. Maybe nutty rather than woody. The taste is unique. Suggests fresh apple juice to an extent. Finishes towards dry. Very interesting.

Oct 14, 2009 Pours dark ruby amber with a frothy beige head. Aroma is sweet caramel, pear, apple, and watery. Taste is sweet apple, caramel, spice and honey. Finishes decent with some roast and caramel malt.

Oct 3, 2009 500ml Bottle: Aroma of malts, roasting, nuts, and burnt caramel. Poured deep amber/deep orange in color with a small, off-white head that diminished but lasted around the edges. Clear. Not sparkling. Flavor is lightly sweet. Tastes of malts, nuts, and burnt caramel. Light to medium body. Thin, lightly dry texture. Average carbonation. Malt, nut and burnt caramel finish is slightly dry.

Sep 2, 2009 This flippy topped bottled brew from a rating party at Patrick’s poured a small sized head of foamy with a frothy top white colored bubbles that were quickly diminishing and left behind a opaque brown colored body. The aroma was dirty sock and grassy. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish hoppy aftertaste. The thin flavor contained notes of malt and mild hops. An OK brew just nothing special.
