330. Quite possibly the skunkiest beer in the known universe. Pours fizzy crystal clear ultralight yellow. Thin fizzy white head that falls away to nothing. Aroma? Lift that black and white striped tail and shake that booty, you’ll get it. Blecch. Kills your enthusiasm for the beer instantly, before it’s even in the glass. Super-watery body, carb runs away, syrupy sweet corn badness. Not much flavor otherwise, and a clingy, chemicaly finish. This is one beer best served with the cap still on. Phooey.

Part of an 8-pack of "International Beer Selections". The whole 8-pack was a bit of a dud, and this was just one of the average, watery pale lager style beers. Given that the only other rating for this beer is from 4 years ago, I wonder if my sample is from that era. Anyway, this was a bit better than the last few I have rated in that it had a fresher aroma, and a drier finish, making a more palatable (although still pretty average) pale lager.

Can. I found this in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I was surprised that I never found this in Thailand despite 16 days of travel there. The can was printed with a label that says "For Export Only," so maybe they gave up selling it within Thailand. I did see a sign in a bar for the Amarit NB, but they no longer carried it. This beer was a grand prize winner at the Brewex 1972 World Beer Competition in London. The aroma had hops and citrus. It was pretty good for a beer of this type.
