| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 6/20 | Nov 23, 2006 Pours the usual swill yellow, thin initial head, ok retention of what was there, lacing almost nil. The aroma was skunky initially, settling down a little to sweet corn. A touch of hops to keep this from being totally rice-corn sweet. Better than Budweiser but that’s not saying much. Darn, I already had Thailand checked off the passport too, lol. Tmoney99 (4761), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Nov 16, 2006 Bottle. Poured light pale color with an average frothy white head that diminished slowly with fair lacing. Light grassy aroma. Light body with a thin texture and soft texture. Light sweet flavor with a light sweet finish of short duration. Worth trying once. faroeviking (6100), BjórtjóðveldiðBjórheimBjórsins, Faroe Islands
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Oct 24, 2006 3 other beers are put here as a Amarit beer. After some reserch and what I recall from my own travels to Thailand it is the same beer all the way! Just different label. The version I best know is under the name "NB Natural Brewed Special Lager", the label slightly different than the one showed here. The first one I tried was back in September 1997.
Bottle. Weak golden colour, ok malty aroma, goes down good with a nice clean smooth taste to it. Served cooled. freekyp (901), Thomasville, North Carolina, USA
| 0.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 1/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 2/20 | Sep 22, 2006 Updated: Oct 8, 2008A bit of malt, a bit of skunk, a bit of macro crap for a Thai monk. Soft carbonation with little head...Smells like halitosis a little bit. One can actually feel the starchiness of the rice in the mouthfeel. Well at least it has a mouthfeel. 5000 (2409), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 13, 2006 Bottle: Clear yellow, vibrant, moderate head, sudsy white, mildly carbonated, little lacing. Sweet straw and grass on the nose. Pale malt flavor, somewhat sweet, a bit corn/rice like but not bad. Fairly smooth, clean, I think sweeter than most other examples. Moderate body and mouthfeel. A dash of pale fruit skin in this one too. I liked this one more than I had thought. A bit macro like, but clean and non-offensive.   A very light sweeter than expected pilsner.

| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | May 17, 2006 Golden colour. Aroma mixes grassy hops, acetaldehyde and light alcohol. Aahhh, the taste of Thailand. Bland international lager, tasting mainly of faint pale malts and late alcohol, with only the slightest suggestion of hop. Ughsmash (4042), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 22, 2006 Bottle, un-dated. Poured a very light, bright golden with a smort cap of white head... very lightly-suspended floaties in there. First impression from the aroma was "crappy & skunky Thai pale lager"... thankfully the skunk receded after a minute or so, and was replaced by some sweet malts and grass. Light, but fairly pleasant. I rather enjoyed the flavors... sweet pale malts, hints of lemongrass, and a faint floral bitterness coming through in the end. Carbonation was medium-high, and the brew was very lightly-bodied. Left some sticky corn remnance when it was all gone. This wasn’t exciting by any means, but certainly palatable. LadyCooper (100), Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 28, 2005 Bottle. I could have sworn from the label and name that it was a Belgian / Dutch / German beer, not a Thai beer! Not a bad beer, though. A bit hoppy, and very light colour (almost Pale Ale colour), but very drinkable. Nothing remarkable, probably wouldn’t buy it at a liquor store, but if it’s on the menu, I’ll order it.
