Commercial Description:
Cask; Regular.
A real-ale drinker’s nirvana, this traditional IPA has a substantial malty base with a big hop profile, taking its cue from the traditional Burton world-beater and also from the hoppy US craft beers, triple hopped using a unique blend of four different hop profiles. Combination of Nugget, Syrian Goldings, Cascade and Goldings.

Cask Handpump at the Intake Club, Mansfield 12/04/2008 Hoppy aroma. Golden coloured strong in alcohol and a little sweet on the palate with a crisp floral and slightly spicy bitter finish.

A Mes rate: Gravicask at Rail Ale fest.
Lovely golden amber colour with a thin off white rim. Big orangey hops, plenty of tart citrus and some slight malt in the background. Flavour is similar, straight down the line but pretty bloody good. Delicate earth and sweetness with an excellent dry and bitter alcoholic finish.

A fab cask IPA (The George, Ripley); orangy pale appearence with little head (served without sparkler); good balance between malt and hop and carries the alcohol well. Warming, malty, bready flavours with a spicy finish.

Cask conditioned - gravity dispense - Swan & Rushes, Leicester. A copper coloured beer with some chill haze. The aroma has some orangey flavoured hops. There are hops in the taste also, but they are suprisingly understated. The alcohol is there, but it just feels like an underperforming beer.

Cask@Reading BF. Quite a strong alcohol presence from the first whiff. Has some raw malt sweetness and again with the burning alcohol on the palate. Some citric, earthy hop notes. Too raw in character, not so good.

Cask, Leicester Fest 07. Copper coloured with a small head. Aromas are weetabix malts with spiced oranges and caramel. Also citrus and sweet pine. Flavours are sweet caramel with citrus. Some herbal and medicinal notes with sprucy pine towards the finish. Alcohol is very evident.

Cask gravity at Reading BF 2007. Hazy amber. Haze no condition. Astringent hop aroma, bit farty. Flavour is what? Some harsh hop on finish. Body has some toffee syrup. Not much to say, doesn’t drink its strength. Hop on end is ok if harsh and rasping.
