This baby pours out like golden syrup, only with the wisp of a white head. The aroma is heavily of bourbon, but there’s plenty of sweet malts creeping through as well. The drink is thick, almost chewy. It’s full of burning sweet malt flavor, some smokiness, some light fruitiness, and an adventurous amount of hops to balance the drink out. Very warm alcoholic finish. Good stuff.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 15, 2004 FOBAB’04: Golden brown with a sweet bourbony nose, hints of chocolate. Sweet and rich, alcohol is masked well, chewy malts were positively affected by the sweet oak, some bitterness at the finsih. Very good showing from an often forggotten gem in the Chicago suburbs. jaymobrown (1360), Chicago, Illinois, USA
