Commercial Description:
Dark straw colored, this medium bodied ale retains some residual sweetness from pure clover honey, and a long lasting head from both wheat and barley malt. Relatively low hoppiness is coupled with the use of selected spices.

On tap at the brewpub on 6/20/07: Pours a fizzy clear golden with a thin, wispy-lacing white head. Sweet sugary orange aroma has a hint of noble hops. Body starts somewhat thin and lightly citrusy with a touch of honey sweetness toward a drier, thinner floral finish. An interesting honey wheat beer.

Bottle... Mostly clear, yellow ale with a small, creamy, white head. Subtle notes of cereal grains and lemon zest in the nose. Medium-bodied and lightly oily with prickly carbonation. Grain and honey flavors with mild bitterness and lingering sweetness. Finishes crisp and a touch citric, but then sweetens-up toward the very end.

Highly carbonated straw-colored brew with a tall bubbly head, this is a very lightly scented drink - just a bit of grainy malts. Soft in the mouth and sweet, it has a finish that leaves you wondering if you drank anything.

Light golden color with a small lid of white bubbles. LIght blueberry and hint of malt aromas. Seems too sweet for a honey brew. Some mild glue scents as well. Flavors of marzipan and stale almonds. Some old wheat and oat flavors as well. I’m going to finish this, but it is going to be a challenge. Some light acidity in the finish and linger. I continue to dislike this style even more after this one.

Sampled from tap on 11/10/2006 at Walter Payton’s Roundhouse in Aurora, IL... Hazy, medium gold color. Aroma was slightly sweet like honey with hints of wheat malt. Flavor was sweet honey wheat and a bit tangy. Another decent wheat beer, but nothing too memorable.

Sweet and dry aromas with honey that carries through to the flavor. Average looking, lively-golden with a white head. Flavor was honey-sweet to start and sugar-sweet to end. Medium bodied with a thick mouth-and-throat presence.
