Nov 8, 2009 Poured a clear amber with a small lingering amber head. Aromas of carmel, butterscotch, earthiness, light citrus and light pine. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, butterscotch, earthiness, light orange and a hint of pine with a smooth moderatly bitter finish.

Wow, this is a very very solid IPA. Nose is strong with lots of hops. The taste is just about the same with a huge kick of sweetness. Pretty clean and full in the mouth. So bitter it is almost gritty. Wow great stuff.

Jan 19, 2004 Had this on draught in Aurora, Illinois. One of the best beers I've tried. Beautiful rich reddish color, wonderfully hopped, fresh tasting. Nose of cloves.
