Despite being an unrepentant hophead, I like a good Scotch Ale haven’t been disappointed by those from America’s Brewpub. This one, still living as I drank it, poured a hazy brown with a slender head. The aroma was rich & malty and had a light orchard fruitiness and a whiff of peaty smoke. All were balanced smoothly with a sturdy alcohol warmth that balanced out the ale nicely. Time for another trip to the brewpub!
