SkyinBrian (429), Collinsville, Illinois, USA Apr 23, 2005 served in a tall pilsner glass. nice copper/orangish color, large foamy head. very malty flavor, carmely. as cornfield described it tastes a bit roasted, but i did not really sense it to be dry, in fact it finished with some subtle sweetness, and while maybe not the best representation of the style, a solid, tasty brew for sure. Cornfield (4892), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Mar 24, 2005 Updated: Jul 8, 2005It’s a handsome enough pour, bright orange with a tall, creamy head. But it’s wrong. There’s evidence of solid malting, but it’s too dry, too roasted for a bock. There’s an odd bitterness in both the taste and finish. Something is amiss at this brew pub.
