| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 20, 2009 Sampler @ the brewpub, called Face Off Pale Ale. Completely clear copper color. Diacetyl peaking through the lemon pledge hops. Taste losses something from the hops and becomes more stingy hoppiness, some caramel malts, some light diacetyl. BlackDonald (1127), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jul 1, 2008 They should stick with lagers. I thought this was one of the weakers beers that they serve. Severely lacking in character, with a light watery malt background., some light citrus hoppiness. Has a flavor like those bottled fruity artifical iced teas. heemer77 (4312), Savannah, Missouri, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 20, 2006 An off white head topped a dark gold body. The aroma was grapefruit with a hint of dark bread. The taste was oranges with some light toast and a hint of iced tea. This is not bad, but could use more character. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 23, 2006 On tap at the brewpub, 2/20/06: Copper colored with a decent sticky head. Nice fruity appeal with maybe a hint of peach? Good. SledgeJr (2963), Omaha, Nebraska, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Mar 3, 2005 On tap at the brewpub. Pass this one by because the lagers are so good. Amber in color with a faint hop scent. Strange chemical off-flavor. Odd that the lagers are so solid, but the ale is marginally bad. What’s going on here? Dansting (222), Overland Park, Kansas, USA
| 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jul 4, 2004 A lot better than expected. Almost ideal Pale Ale flavor and appearance. Smell was very good as well, although not as strong as it could have been. Worth a trip to the casino to have, and be sure to get a growler to take home. Nuffield (2724), Roseville, Minnesota, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jan 9, 2003 A sensitive and gentle rendition of the pale ale, offered as a seasonal selection on the "private reserve" label at the brewpub. With its noticeable hop flavors and bitterness, it is a basic yet classic version of the pale ale. Keeps a head for a long time...overall nice.
