Oct 27, 2006 8 oz draught glass at the brewpub. Opaque, dirty caramel hue, fairly still with no real head....banana-clovey typical German wheat aromas, a bit of dry grass and sweetish chocolate....sweet banana-shake and a bit of sourdough in the body, grassy bitterness towards the end, good caramelized malt backdrop, fairly low carbonation.....a bit of lemon-lime/7Up sorta feeling to the finish though the carbonation isn’t sodalike....mineralic qualities a bit strong. Ehh.

Oct 6, 2006 A bomb of a beer, poured a light brown color (filtered?), almost non-existent head. Aroma was initially bananas and cloves under some roasted character. The flavor seemed to take on that aspect, but at the same time it hammered each sip with a chemical type off-taste, really off. The chemical taste got disgusting after a few sips, quite sad. Don’t know what happened to this one, but something wasn’t done right.
