| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jun 2, 2008 2008-05-30, blind tasting at Yespr’s, 6-3-6-3-10=28 Cloudy light amber color. Sweetish and perfumy aroma, with a light sourness and smokey touch. Medium body; it seems to be a quite simple Ale, with sweetish malt flavor, but with a small infection in it (hence the low Overall rating).
2008-05-25, bottle, 5-5-5-3-10=28 Cloudy amber color, creamy head, and overcarbonation. There is some malt, and a light smokey touch from the chestnuts; but like the one I had on draught, this one as well shows signs of infection.
2008-03-28, draught at Salone della Birra Artigianale e di Qualità 2008, Milan, 5-5-5-3-10=28 Cloudy amber color; creamy head. It’s a quite common Ale, but also some characteristics are covered by a probably light infection.
So, in the end, I had it 3 times and each time it was infected… probably chestnuts are not suitable for brewing.
