Batch 95E
Beautiful red-amber color; creamy head. The aroma is malty, but unfortunately it shows a very light, suspicious sourness. Quite good body structure; good caramel flavor; it’s less malty than the sample I had at the recent IBF in Milan, so I suspect that some of the sugars have been processed by an infected yeast. It has a quite strong bitterness, more than an English example, but not aromatic or resiny like an American one; the bitterness level is also influenced by the infection (?). The final is also nutty. Not bad, but imprecise.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of fiulijn. Hazy amber golden with a small off-white head. Tart aroma, some fruit and alcohol. Quite full-bodied, notes of plums and some caramel. Strangely unclean. Tart alcoholic finish. 040409

courtesy of fiulijn - pours a fully cloudy reddish-brown colour with a little beige foam; aggressive nose with notes of prune, malt and lemon; very sweet and sticky, thick; good malt body and with a late and solid bitterness; the finish is sticky with lot of fruity notes and a very burning alcohol touch - quite a strange beer.

Bottle, 10.5%. Good citric aroma, hint of vanilla and dried fruit. The flavour is also citric, seems to come from hops, or perhaps a wooden cask. Good wooden flavour, balanced well by alcohol and hop bitterness. There is a little strange note, some weird plastic or something.

33 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange with a small off-white head. Roasted, mild citric spiced and sour milky aroma. Sweet and citric flavoured. Mild spiced. Lasting roasted malt impression mixed with a mild citric milky note and light spiced finish.

Good persistent, yellow head, slightly hazy orange beer. Acidic, lactic, yoghurt, oxydized. Yoghurt flavour, with alcohol and raisins. Very burning MF, fiery alcohol and acids. Not convincing. Very strange beer.
