On tap at Henry’s in downtown Portland: Appearance is a pretty clear dark amber brown with minimal off white head, aroma has a good amount of floral and citrus hops, flavor wasn’t overly hoppy but still had a good amount of hops to it along with a decent slightly sweet malt backbone. One of the better IPAs I have had.

Draught @ Brouwer’s Café:   Dark amber, copper hues, large frothy off-white head, very sticky lacing.   Malt forward nose, slightly earthy, faint citrus peel.   Certainly a malt forward IPA, slight hop astringency.   Has a good dose of citrus peel zest but it fades quickly.   Finishes quick, and clean.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Lingering hops and citrus zest.   I like the fact that this one has quite a bit of malt backing.   Seems fairly well balanced.   Very enjoyable.

Tap @ Amnesia... Poured dark amber with a thin, off-white head. Aroma of hops and caramel malts. Very much like an English IPA, malt driven with hops just to balance. Sweet, bread-like character and smooth, low bitterness to the finish.

On tap at brewery. Amber colored with a nice citrus aroma. Flavor is light citrus, mostly grapefruit and malt. I can’t complain about any of that but not as well done as it could have been.

On tap pours out a hazy orange topped with a small head. Aroma was of fresh floral hops with a touch of citrus. Tast was more of the fresh hops and a good malt mix.

Floral aroma, some funky car box hops, light sweet malt base. Copper color with some chill haze and a thin head. Nice light sweetness with really nice floral hops. Highly drinkable with some juicy resin notes. Soft lingering bitterness.

Cloudy red body with a deep amber coloured body and a super-thin off-white head. Aroma of grapefruit and piney hops. Nice smell! Decent hop taste up front fading quickly, then showing some nice malt and a little lemony citrus scent. Overall, not great, a bit unbalanced, but good to try! I sampled this beer on draught at Henry’s 12th St Tavern in Portland, Oregon on 09-September-2006.
