THe aroma is floral and grassy with hints of citrus and biscuit malts too. Grassy, floral, light grapefruit skin hop flavor all on top of some dry bready/biscuity malts. Like the description said, this struck me as more of an imperial pale ale than a true IIPA. Dry light hoppy finish. troopie (906), USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 7, 2009 Draught. Poured orange with fast dissipating white head. Fruity, floral hoppy aroma. full hop flavour with a hop finish. Withal, there’s enough malt and caramel to keep this from being just another hop bomb. AmEricanbrew (1999), Almost, Texas, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 17, 2009 Draft@ Brouwers Cafe. Murky gold color with a white head. Nice fresh grassy and floral hop aroma. Medium body. Good pine sap and sweet leaf hop flavors on a lightly sweet pale malt base brew. Very tasty. Beardface (1036), Eugene, Oregon, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 17, 2009 A hazy golden pour with a very tiny head. Very fruity in both aroma and taste, grapefruit and a little orange-tangerine essence. Very thin and doesn’t really seem like it has the amount of alcohol I’d guess at from hearing it was an "Imperial" beverage. BillKismet (1957), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 5, 2009 Hazy, cloudy peach. Absent carbonation and only a ring of head. Citrusy and mildly fruity hop aroma and flavor. Doesn’t really taste "imperial,"not sure of the ABV, but this is quite quaffable and characterized my a fairly wide spectrum of hop flavor.
