Nice aroma - lots of hops on the nose, with just enough balance - but it’s very hop-forward. Flavor follows suit, though I’m not sure I’d call this an imperial IPA - it drinks like a regular IPA. If I plop it in that category, it’s pretty good. Certainly not bad at all.

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 20, 2009 Tap at Naked City. Aroma is very citrusy with grapefruit, orange and lime. Some underlying sweet caramel notes. Pours a murky brownish amber with a thin head and decent lacing. The flavor is vibrant citrus up front with a sweet-ish caramel backbone providing a nice juicy, fruity IIPA. Finish was bright and crisp, but not resiny enough for me and how I like my IIPA’s. Still very pleasant and damn drinkable.
