| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/20 | Mar 24, 2007 WOW-JUST WHEN I WAS STARTING TO GIVE UP....bottles/corner liquor store...the bad stuff..the citrus taste is unecessary and DISTRACTING for a Bock althought this tastes like a lager and second, too expensive, barely worth 8 bucks for six beers but you could say that about 99percent of beers....the GOOD stuff: somewhere behind that wonderful malt and barley that sits really nice on palate is that old Anchor Steam orginal taste. Consistency is a wonderful thing for an American Brewer. I drank it out of the bottle which is a compliment for me. Lingering hoppy finish is a nice touch. Robust, not too dark, and a fine alcohol kick. If you like a Bock leave the Shiner’s on the shelf and grab six of these. A pretty complete beer, I was nicely surprised. luv2brew (181), Chesterfield, Virginia, USA

Picked this one up as a single. This one pours beautifully with a massive creamy head and a blackish red color. I wasn’t expecting this. Nose of a hint of grapefruit and roasted malt. This is not as malty as I was expecting, but this beer was interesting. In a good way. I’d buy a six pack. drpimento (883), La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA

Poured with a beautiful thick bountiful tan head with lots o lace. Opaque brownish black. Very mild aroma. Thick body, satisfying. Had this from a bottle at The Bodega Brew Pub downtown La Crosse, Wisconsiin Usa mynameisjonas (206), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 20, 2007 Chewy vegetal and dry malt aroma. Balanced and fine. Very drinkable dry toffee lager malts, a touch of licorice on top of farm fresh milk and plantains. At once delicate and robust, supremely balanced and a very good bock overall. Totally nails the style.
