Golden, minimal opalescent body with a superb creamy and foamy white head what diminishes to a delicious lacing one. Nice fruity aroma with grape and citruses, resiny hop, fine malt. Oily body, mild texture with easy malt flavor, fruity tastes of grape and citrusses. Nice character of american hops in a strong, powerful but balanced bitterness.. Fruity-bittery aftertaste. Nice ale! danielst (144), Vienna, Austria
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 16, 2009 12 oz. bottle: Pours a shiney light orange with a bit of a haze and a bright white head. Fruity, hoppy aroma that reminds of honey melons and citrus, with a little hint of caramel and bananas. Primarily piney/citrussy/woody even perfumy hops in the flavour - Cascade all the way. Just a little caramel accent coming from the malt. The carbonation is pretty strong and contributes a light acidity, but the finish seems a bit watery. A crunchy bite of hop bitterness, but not overly bitter. sound67 (201), Offenbach, Germany

Pours a slightly cloudy pale straw yellow with a big, frothy white head with great retention and decent lacing.
Hoppy pale ale character is immediately recognizable on the nose: citrusy, grapefruity hops dominate, with some herbal spices thrown in.
Smooth, thick mouth feel; medium-bodied pale ale, rather low carbonation.
One of the hoppiest IPA’s I’ve yet tasted: sour grapefruit and spicy herbs/woody notes all over the palate, with a nice moderate bitterness on top and a sour, citrusy finish. Very, very nice. Refreshing, multi-levelled pale, very well balanced, highly sessionable. Another great American beer. JulienHuxley (195), Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, Canada

Anchor sort of opened my eyes to american brewing, and a new world of beer:-)
My first rating of this, and it is a few years since I tasted it last, so I can’t quite remember what it’s like.
But off course it is still a good brew. Today maybe not that earth rocking as it was some yeats ago, but still a very good beer.
Very light gold, with white head that dissappears.
Hoppy nose, flowery AND piney. Creamy with high carbonation.
Very fine Pale Ale. aaronbr (57), Palo Alto, California, USA

The aroma is warm and malty, with grass and citrus. The flavor is similar with a bitter finish.
