Bottle, Rehills, Newcastle. Slightly hazy, pale gold appearance, with a crean coloured head. Elderflower aroma, hoppy taste, with gooseberry and blackcurrant evident. Has the same tang as Steam Ale, good sharp bitterness.

Pours a sparkling clear, goldenrod color with a moderately full, white, creamy, fluffy head which is mostly lasting and leaves minimal, drippy lace. Nose is fair with lots of sweet biscuits, light pepper, light herbal hops, light orange citrus hops, and faint notes of sweat. Flavor is similar with hops bringing a moderate bitterness with notes of spicy pepper, some herbal, light orange citrus, and hints of minty notes; other notes of the sweet biscuits and sweat, far in the background. Palate is lively, dry, slightly oily, and light to medium. Finishes bitter and dry with some spicy and herbal notes and some sweat lingering. A big disappointment; the herbal note was a bit offputting and the sweat was no treat either. Nothing else really to enjoy.

12oz bottle. Pours golden with a foamy white head. Aroma is of hops, citrus, spice, and malt. Taste is of sweet hops, lots of of citrus fruit, with grapefruit up front. Has a light malt malt backbone with a spicy taste. The citris taste was very acidic, and almost hurt the taste, but luckily the hop characters evens it out. Finish is spicy. Drinkable.

12 oz bottle. Pours a nice deep golden with a white head that persists and laces. Nose promises a heavily hopped ale, and some sweet malt. The flavor does not dissapoint. It is a very balanced ale, with the malts in the front and the hops driving the finish in a dry bitter. Makes you want to take the next sip. Awesome Ale. On heavy rotation in my beer fridge. Cheers.

Poured from 12 oz bottle, clear golden color with medium white head that quickly dissapated. Nose of citrus, mostly grapefruit. Hoppy and malty taste with a stronger aftertaste. Not too bad...

Bottle, 12oz. It pours an almost clear, golden body under a finger-thick, creamy, off-white head. Piney, citrusy nose with a malty sweetness in the back. The flavor has piney, resiny hops giving a fine bitterness, and malty sweetness to balance it. Dryish, full body. The finish is very much like the initial flavor, with a pleasant bitterness. A nice beer, but it sort of lacks something. That might of course be freshness, as it’s not as quenching as expected. A nice one though. (090411)

Clear orange pour, moderate white head with some retention. Aroma of floral hops, honeysuckle, sweet malt, and yeast. Flavours of bittering hops, yeast, and malt; light body with moderate carbonation. A very pleasant and highly sessionable beer.
