Cascades! That’s pretty much the start and end of this one, but this is probably my favorite Anchor beer to date. Nice clean crisp flavors and mouthfeel, with a nice bitter finish and some very well chosen hop additions. Ober (1207), Bommelerwaard, Netherlands

The aroma of hop bitter, a lot of fruits. The taste of hops. It’s some bitter. There are fruits like citrus and grapes. The aftertaste is long bitter with some fruity sweets. keithk (8), ny, New York, USA does not count | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Jan 22, 2009 Refreshing, lively beer with a lovely but not overpowering grapefruity aroma. IPA is my favorite style, however this "American Pale Ale" is my go-to beer at home for session drinking or to accompany food. Many IPA’s have more hoppy aroma, more bitterness, more this or more that, but they get overbearing after 1 or 2, or they can overwhelm a meal. This is the ideal "baseline" beer for me. Should not disappoint IPA lovers, it is not bland by any means, and has way more hoppy flavor than Anchor Steam or Sierra, for example. topherh (936), Kearney, Missouri, USA
