Blooming flowers enter the mouth, then wilt away to robust and forceful hops with near perfect fermentation. Absolutely coates the mouth in a harmonious mix of softness and fighting bite....almost a little to much bite. Smooth and delicate feel. Colour is a extemely thin orange.
Well done on this one. realbama (35), Birmingham, Alabama, USA

Citrus flavor (lemon-ey) with a tinge of a bitter immediate aftertaste, but settles down in time, leaving a refreshing memory of the sip. Creamy lacing remains throughout the glass. I would classify this brew as refreshing. nramsburg (202), New York, New York, USA

Nice yeasty aroma with a hint of citrus and perhaps slightly floral. I think this is definitely on the hoppier end of a Pale Ale, but still quite enjoyable. Another strong offering from Anchor. jeremytoni (1110), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 4, 2008 From a bottle poured a light copper color with a fair amount of head. Nice light hoppy flavor with a lingering finish. TheCaptain (559), Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA

The liberty ale was a little tangy and bitter to me. This just seemed a little off. I think the hop bitterness is what got me with this one. Some citrus notes and malts, dry finish. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 31, 2008 Bottle. Pours slightly hazy gold with a nice 3 finger white head that faded pretty fast. Nose is malt, grass and light floral hops. Palate is sweet upfront with a slight citrus hop bite in the finish. Medium mouth feel. I’ve had this several times, but only on tap. It’s much better on tap, but still a solid pale out of the bottle. EHopper (348), Minnesota, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 31, 2008 Nice clear golden color. Clean grapefruit aroma. So many good things to say I am a bit frozen at the keyboard. Just so well balanced. A goodly amount of hops, nice floral and citrus flavors, just enough malt to make it complex, not too dry with just the perfect carbonation and bitter finish to make you say ahh! Must remember to lay some up to share with friends. mcc5468 (103), USA
