Aroma of spicy hop and light malt. Good hop profile flavor balances well with the light malt background. Nice finish with lingering of hops. Good beer. A classic. lagomswedish (213), Umeå, Sweden
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 11, 2008 Bottle from Systembolaget. A very attractive pour, with a clear tawny orange body and frothy off-white head. Smell of grassy hops and suggestion of semi-sweet malt and mazipan. The flavour is all about the hops, with a quite aggressive and citrus acidic finish. OK, but not something I’d drink regularly. mybestfriend (262), Gothenburg, Sweden
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 9, 2008 Bottle, 355 ml. A bit hazy with a pale amber colour and a white head. Aroma is refreshing and flowery with citrus and some caramel. Flavour is very much about the hops with notes of citrus and some malty caramel in the background. Good amount of bitterness. Finish is citrus with some bitterness. At $2,70 (16.40 Swedish kronor) a bottle this is a great QPR! changeup45 (792), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 9, 2008 Better than their steam beer but not much more. Hazy orange-like color topped with a medium head and. The carbonation seemed to disappear half way through the beer. Sweet citrusy, mild hoppy aroma. Nothing too special. Very smooth, orange citrus flavor with a hint of hops in the background. Somewhat tangy aftertaste. Although it goes down quite smooth, it could use a little more flavor. Perhaps more hops. This is pretty light bodied and would seem to be a nice fit for the summer. jobyone (234), Charlotte, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 7, 2008 Pours a yellowish amber with large frothy slighlty off white head. The head leaves a nice lace. The aroma is very malty with straw and molasses dominating. Some citrus and fruit are there but quiet faint. The taste starts with a bit of hop bitterness then some sweetness comes in. Finish is average with some bitterness. The body is medium to light and this is a nice refreshing beer that I have been enjoying for many years. esjaygee (1531), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 6, 2008 Cloudy orange-yellow with a medium off-white head that sticks around for a bit. Medium hop nose of orange and citrus, mixed with caramel, toffee and biscuits. Nice balanced flavor with a citric hop finish that is both medium dry and medium bitter. rugbydude05 (298), Kew Gardens, New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 6, 2008 Overall very good ale. Aroma was very hoppy and sweet with very heavy floral scents. Appearance is golden and hazy with minimal head. Flavor is slightly bitter and the palate is pretty decent. No bad aftertaste and a very full body. Much better than regular Anchor Steam Ale. guyinchicago (528), marengo, Illinois, USA
