DrBayern (923), Morehead City, North Carolina, USA Oct 8, 2005 Clear deep amber, moderate bubbly head. Immediate hop nose which continues into a floral hop flavor and finish. Perhaps the first true modern American pale ale, and still one of the best.
flatmatt (69), Northville, Michigan, USA Aug 21, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours slightly orange gold with a medium white head. Aromas of citrus hops, pale malts, some sweetness and what I want to describe as some mild strawberry aroma. Flavor is solid, with pale malts and citrus and spicy hops. Little caramel in there, too. Overall an excellent APA with a nice, strong balance of hops and malts. hop_lover (110), Corpus Christi, Texas, USA Aug 20, 2008 This beer pours a hazy golden color with an off white head that is quite dissapating. The aroma is like a pilsner, with very faint aroma of fruity notes in the nose. The mouthfeel is light like a summer pilsner. Faint sweet malts in the nose. Some spicy Cascade notes in the flavor. Not too impressive. Not bad though. Guess a good lighter summertime beer. Good for a BBQ. Gmoney (167), Manchvegas, New Hampshire, USA Aug 20, 2008 bottle ,hazy deep golden pour ,moderate white head, good lacing.aroma of citrus hops and yeast. flavor is citrus and pine . moderately hoppy, spicy dry finish.a bit thin and bubbly but good overall. robforbes (694), Bremerton, Washington, USA Aug 19, 2008 pours a semi-hazy orange with an egg-shell head, good lacing.
