doubleo (834), San Diego, California, USA Feb 23, 2008 How is Anchor Steam more readily available than this brew? This one is way better... Bigger bottle, not sure if it is 22oz or not. Pours a slightly hazy yellow/orange color. Fizzy white head that hangs around as a film. Smells earthy hoppy and grainy malty. Tastes malty and somewhat metallic. Hops are subdued and very earthy. Medium body, nice, active yet smooth carbonation.
luttonm (49), Seattle, Washington, USA Oct 10, 2008 Heavy head that lasts awhile. Rather active carbonation but dead and dull taste that was too malty/yeasty. sour grass, fermented grain, olive oil. dry finish. reminded me of the Steam beer, which I’m no fan of. hirigalzkar (45), Stockholm, Sweden Oct 9, 2008 Bottle. Golden light colour. Good white head. Aroma of hops and malts with a touch of citrus. Great balanced. Sweet beer with a sophisticated grapefruit bitterness in the after taste. jkaiser (114), USA Oct 8, 2008 This was my 20th beer at beerfest. All I can taste is Beligan yeast. I am drunk and don’t know it. Linnet (31), , Sweden Oct 3, 2008 medium off white head, light copper colour. citrus and pine in the nose. flavour is malty with plenty of hops, very enjoyable. Easy to drink but still very interesting, a great pale ale. nqualls (422), Tennessee, USA Oct 1, 2008 Bottle. Poured a clear amber with a small off white head. Aroma of citrus and piney hops.
