6-pack from Brewers World, Dumont, NJ...bottle pours iced-tea brown with a tiny tan head that lasted only a few seconds...smell of plum, molasses, fig...taste is sweet, malty, with dark fruits...very smooth mouth feel with a hint of alcohol at the back of the throat...very low carbonation...I really enjoyed this one...I agree with tgncc in that it’s a bit pricey but at least I’ll enjoy the next 5.

(Tap) Pours a deep mahogany color with a sparkling appearance and little head. Aroma of dark fruits and brown sugar. Malty, with a nice caramel and toffee backbone. Sticky and sweet, with a decent amount of alcohol warming as well. A decent barleywine, but a little too sweet for my tastes.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle. Poured a deep red color and had an appealing sweet smell. Little head to speak of. Nice malt flavor, including caramel. A slight fruit taster present, but I can’t put my finger on what it is. I was surprised how reserved the hop presence was. A nice barley wine.

The first Barley Wine I ever had... (don’t count Old Nick) -- Used to get $5 happy hour Liters at Naja’s - those were the days. I lay out the $3 for one of these now and then. Good unique flavor, consistently!

Sweet smell, like sherry, very appealing. Little bit of caramel in the malt, and a slight citrusy smell, maybe from hops. Beautiful ruby red color, hazy, slight white head. Nice sweet flavor, caramel, toffee and a noticeable amount of hops. The alcohol is relatively well hidden. Oily mouthfeel, leave a little sweetness on the palate, like a port wine or sherry. A VERY nice beer, I highly recommend this. Note: it is a little pricey, however.

Reddish-brown with an off white head. Sweet aroma: leather, date and plum with a hint of liquorice and alcohol. Sweet treacly malt taste, becoming slightly sour with a hint of bitterness and alcohol. Luxurious beer for a special occasion.

Bottle. Clear red/brown colour with medium creamy off-white mostly diminishing head. Malty aroma with caramel and alcohol. Sweet caramel flavor. Well balanced beer. Oily palate.
