I love christmas spiced ales, and this one is a winner. Anchor never ever fails. morty99 (371), Maryland, USA

Very nice and thick. It doesn’t have that much alcohol in it, but the warmth and burn might make you think it’s a high alcohol brew. skortila (2907), Bunnik, Netherlands
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 8, 2002 Nice dark appearance with a brown, lasting head. Sweet aroma. Malty, spicy taste, bitter in the end. Gusler (2655), Tucson, Arizona, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 8, 2002 Re-Rate 09/08/02 (2001) vintage. The pour is a nice dark brown, the head is large, generous lace. Nose is caramel, floral, malt, and a tad earthy. Front is sweet, the top light, the finish is acidic, dry, hoppy, and a damn fine beer as always. ranks a decent #422 on my current 1000 beer master list.
